Position Summary:
The Expeditor is the direct liaison between JetBlue and the aircraft repair business partners. The Expeditor ensures the timely return of aircraft parts from repair in accordance with contractual agreements.
Essential Functions:
* Works closely with business partners to obtain repair status of JetBlue components
* Ensures invoices are paid promptly
* Provides administrative support to the Engineering Team by forwarding paperwork associated with repaired units from vendors
* Obtains paperwork from business partners for units which have been quarantined due to lack of documents or inaccurate paperwork
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Strong typing skills required
* Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
* Ability to work in a high pressure environment
* Ability to rapidly resolve issues and recognize when escalation is necessary
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong problem solving and structured thinking skills
* Effective time management and prioritization skills
* Solid team and people/supplier management skills

Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
* Some College or practical experience preferred
* Aviation administration and technical background preferred
* Supplier management (not aviation specific) experience a plus
* Regular attendance and punctuality
* Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
* Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
* Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
