Position Summary:
The Specialist maintains the warehouse stock and works with the Maintenance Department at the station to ensure the adequate supply of materiels for aircraft maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Performs data entry into the computer inventory system to include locating, issuing, receiving, and shipping of materiels
- Loads aircraft tires, brakes, and related aircraft parts and materiels
- Performs inventory audits, inspections, and reconciliations of materiels based on direction from leadership
- Monitors and updates stock items, minimum and maximum stock levels, and coordinates stock level adjustments with Maintenance, Purchasing,
and/or other departments within the Company
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of inventory management and computer inventory management systems/bar coding
-Ability to ship, receive, and track parts using DHL and FEDEX shipping software
- Strong typing skills
- Flexibility and agility skills
- Excellent verbal (telephone) communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Working Conditions:
Equipment:
- Computer and other office equipment
- Inventory Control System, i.e. DASH, etc.
- All types of Ground Support Equipment: trucks, tugs, box truck, forklifts, (all types up to 35K)
- Packing machine equipment
- Small and large weighing scales
- Parts storage system equipment
- Other equipment when needed in support of logistics and aircraft support
Work Environment:
- Work may be outdoors with seasonal weather
- Able to work all shifts (i.e.: midnight, days, weekends, and holidays)
- Travel may be required

Physical Effort:
- Position requires strenuous physical work. Heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds
frequently.

Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Some college preferred
- Warehousing background preferred
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that meets JetBlue AirwaysÁ’ insurance standards
- Valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Able to drive tugs, trucks, forklifts (4k and 18K) and other vehicles
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Successfully pass the Materiels and the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) training courses
- Pass an International Air Transport Association (IATA) or Department of Transportation (DOT) approved Hazardous Materiel Training Course and
maintain recurrent training of the course in order to complete job functions
- Regular attendance and punctuality

- Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
- Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
